Lufthansa extends agent support hours

The Lufthansa Group has notified the trade of extended hours of support in the current difficult times.  

The airline group has had to cancel many flights over the past weeks and there will be more in the upcoming months, therefore, to stabilise operations at its hubs from August 1 to September 30, the Lufthansa Group will extend its Travel Agent Support (TAS) desk hours. This is to assist travel agents who have immediate need of urgent support over weekends in case of short-term flight irregularities.  

The TAS desk extended hours will operate on Saturdays from 09h00 to 17h00 (CET) and can be reached by phone at +27 21 427 7919. 

The airline asks agents to note that, for bookings where baggage is already checked in, the passenger must contact the airline’s airport service desk directly for assistance.
