MSC launches AI device, ZOE

MSC Cruises will launch its new voice-enabled AI device, ZOE, on the MSC Bellissima, scheduled for christening on March 2.

The device will be available in every cabin, and will be able to respond in seven languages. It has been programmed to answer hundreds of questions about the cruise, provide information about on-board services and provide guidance and suggestions and even help to book a service. Guests simply say, “OK ZOE” to enable it.

After its launch on the MSC Bellissima, ZOE will then be available on each subsequent new ship, including the upcoming MSC Grandiosa and MSC Virtuosa in 2020.

ZOE’s physical design features advanced audio with far field microphones and a speaker to provide the audio experience. Its quad-core processor will allow for quick responses, while its Bluetooth connectivity function enables users to connect their phones to the device to listen to music, podcasts and more.
