Multi-entry visas for soccer fans

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have announced that they will issue multiple-entry visas for Hayya Card holders.

The digital card serves as a permit for attendees of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and is mandatory to attend matches. Fans should apply for the card after purchasing their World Cup tickets.

The card provides a number of benefits, including free public transport for ticket holders on match days, reports Travel Daily Media.

It is considered an entry visa to Qatar from November 1 until December 23, according to Business Traveller. To support Qatar in hosting the event, the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICB) has said that it will grant a multiple-entry visa to card holders.

Travellers will be able to apply for the visas under the ‘Smart Channels’ tab of the ICB website from November 1, and they will be valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Additionally, the visas will be available at a reduced rate of US$27 (R464), according to Alarabiya News

Saudi Arabia has also introduced a multiple-entry visa for Hayya Card holders, which will allow travellers to enter and exit the country before, during, and after the event, according to the Visit Saudi website.

Travellers will be able to enter the country from ten days before the start of the tournament, and they will be able to stay for up to 60 days.

Those applying for the visa must also obtain medical insurance before traveling to Saudi Arabia.
