Machaba Safaris will open Kiri Camp in the Okavango Delta in June. The new luxury tented camp is in a private concession on the Kiri River system, between the Boro and Kiri rivers.

The camp is built on raised wooden decks with views of the Kiri floodplains which stretch out in front of the camp. The ten luxury tents include two family tents and facilities include a swimming pool, a tented main area, a library and a curio shop.

Activities include game drives and water activities using a motor boat or mokoro (dug-out canoe) to the more remote areas in the Delta. Nature walks, off-road and night driving are allowed with knowledgeable guides.

Access to Kiri Camp is by charter flights from either Maun or Kasane followed by a 10-minute drive to the camp.
