Republic of Congo to drop visas

The Republic of the Congo will waive visa requirements for all African nationals from January 1 next year.

“Nationals of all African countries will have visa-free access and will no longer need a visa to come to Congo,” said Congo President Denis Sassou-Nguesso. He urged all countries to deepen regional integration through practical implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Currently, South Africans are required to apply for a visa through the embassy.
