Royal Caribbean reveals adults-only beach

Royal Caribbean International has revealed details of Hideaway Beach, its first adults-only beach destination.

The beach, which is on Perfect Day, RCI’s private island in the Bahamas, will debut in January in conjunction with the Icon of the Seas’ maiden voyage.

“Our newest ships, Icon of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas, will visit Perfect Day on short and long Caribbean sailings, and this is an amazing opportunity for travel partners to expand their reach for success,” said Vicki Freed, Royal Caribbean’s Senior VP Sales, Trade Support & Service. “Their clients will be coming back for more to experience this one-of-a-kind island experience.”

As well as the private beach, it will feature two pools, poolside music, 20 cabanas, loungers and umbrellas, seven alfresco bars and a variety of food options.

10 Hideout Cabanas will have easy access to the beach, heated infinity plunge pools, attendant services, in-water loungers, an outdoor shower and resort-style culinary options.

“Hideaway Beach is a completely new vibe and experience that vacationers are looking for on Perfect Day at CocoCay,” added Royal Caribbean International President and CEO, Michael Bayley. “Everything from its hidden location to the exclusive beach and pools to the private cabanas is designed for adults who want a day just for them.”

Bars on the beach will include On the Rocks, which will offer live music, TVs, games and a variety of cocktails; Hideaway Bar, a two-level swim-up bar; and two full-service Beach Bars.

Culinary options include Slice of Paradise, which will serve pizza and items featuring a local twist, such as Bahamian guava barbecue chicken; and Snack Shack, offering chicken sandwiches, burgers, fried mozzarella sticks and salads.

In 2024, travellers will be able to choose from Royal Caribbean’s most expansive line-up of 22 ships, with itineraries from nine cities, and visit Perfect Day at CocoCay. These include sailings from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, Cape Liberty and Galveston.
