Singapore Airlines will introduce upgraded KrisWorld in-flight entertainment systems and Starlink connectivity from 2027, with new 4K displays, Bluetooth audio pairing, a redesigned interface and more than 2 500 content options.
The entertainment upgrades will be rolled out in phases on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900s, as well as on the airline’s upcoming B777-9 aircraft.
Features will vary by aircraft and cabin class, with 4K touchscreens of up to 81cm in first class, 56cm in business class, 41cm in premium economy and 33cm in economy.
Passengers will be able to log in using their Krisflyer accounts to received personalised recommendations, resume programmes from previous flights and save favourites.
KrisWorld will also include a wellness planner with sleep, meditation, breathing and in-seat stretching content.
Starlink connectivity will be introduced progressively from early next year on selected A380 and A350 aircraft, enabling streaming, gaming and online work.
Unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi will continue to be available to passengers in Suites, first and business class, as well as PPS Club and KrisFlyer members travelling in premium economy and economy, on Starlink-equipped aircraft.
The enhancements form part of Singapore Airlines’ wider cabin and passenger experience upgrades, due to be unveiled in Singapore in November.
