Thailand has introduced new regulations on deportation, providing authorities with additional measures to manage problematic tourists.
Effective August 28, the regulation allows authorities to deport foreigners who behave aggressively or arrogantly, disrespect Thai culture, violate the law or act contrary to public morality.
It also covers illegal entry or overstaying, unauthorised employment or business activities, falsifying official documents and certain serious criminal offences.
According to Thai authorities, the regulations are intended to establish clearer and faster procedures among the government agencies involved.
