In line with its strategy to expand its African footprint, Tourvest Destination Management has acquired Mozambique Voyages, a DMC specialising in both self-drive and tailor-made holidays in Mozambique.

Martijn Mellaart, owner of Mozambique Voyages said: “I am extremely excited about this partnership. Joining such a strong company, being able to broaden its reach into the island space, and also being able to distribute our regional product through Tourvest Destination Management’s advanced technological network is super exciting.”

Martin Wiest, ceo of Tourvest Destination Management, shares the excitement, as this acquisition is its first step into the Indian Ocean destinations – an integral part of tourism to Southern Africa.

Mellaart will join the Tourvest family as part of the Tourvest Destination Management Board on February 1, and will head up the Indian Ocean Islands division. The reservations and administrative team will continue as normal, based in their current Nelspruit office.
