Turkish Airlines has notified the SA trade that all its South Africa flights, both inbound and outbound, have been cancelled up to and including December 9.

Passengers holding unused tickets, have the right to a full refund.

The refund process can be done via the GDS, with the endorsement of “INVOL RFND DUE TKXXXX/DATE CNX”

Passengers holding partly used tickets, have the right to an involuntary refund option for the unused coupons. The refund process can be done via the GDS, with the endorsement of “INVOL RFND DUE TKXXXX/DATE CNX”

Passengers holding unused tickets can have an involuntary reissue for the affected flight with the endorsement of

“INVOL RFND DUE TKXXXX/DATE CNX” entry and these should be booked in the same cabin.

Passengers holding unused or partly used tickets, can keep their tickets as open until May 31, 2022. The open ticket can be involuntary reissued in the same cabin once the passenger has decided on new travel dates and “INVOL RFND DUE TKXXXX/DATE CNX” should be added to endorsement. Last segment should be flown latest by May 31, 2022.

If passengers want a non-refundable travel voucher instead of involuntary full refund, the non-refundable travel voucher will be worth the full value of the ticket price. The validity of the voucher will be two years from the date of issue. For the travel voucher option, agents should e-mail their Johannesburg or Cape Town THY office, depending on the location of the head office of the agency.
