The Palm River Hotel in Victoria Falls has been awarded five-star grading by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), one of only two hotels to have received this accolade.

The hotel recently announced on its website that it had officially received the grading following extensive inspection by the ZTA’s quality assurance executives in January.

It offers 73 rooms and luxury suites along the banks of the Zambezi River, including 60 Twin and King Deluxe rooms, two fully serviced wheelchair-accessible rooms, two Deluxe suites, two Honeymoon suites, three Executive suites, a Presidential suite, and the Palm River Villa.

The hotel’s leisure facilities include a 34m outdoor swimming pool, on-site nature walks, and a soon-to-be-completed gymnasium.

It opened its doors less than two years ago and the staff have worked tirelessly to deliver luxury and exceptional service quality. Group Hospitality Manager, Heather Kay, says “Since unveiling the Palm River Hotel in 2021, our hospitality family has worked with commitment and determination to meet the first-class standards required for this status, and we will continue to deliver the highest quality of exceptional Zimbabwean hospitality.

“This is an immensely proud moment for the entire team at the Palm River Hotel and it brings us great delight to be officially positioned as one of only two hotels in Victoria Falls with five-star grading.”
