Virgin Voyages has released itinerary details and cabin designs for the company’s first ship, Scarlet Lady.
The ship will depart from Miami and embark on a four- and five-night Havana After Dark itinerary through Cuba, with an overnight stay in Havana; a five-night voyage to Costa Maya, Mexico, as well as a five night Dominican Daze voyage to Puerto Plata.
There are 1 330 cabins and 78 RockStar Suites. Cabins are classified as XL Sea Terrace, Sea Terrace, and Sea View, Insider cabins, Social Insider cabins that sleep up to four in a chalet-style bunk, and Solo Insider cabins designed and priced for the solo traveller.
Cabin features include a new Seabed that converts from a full-size bed to a lounger, and mood lighting that automatically adjusts based on the ship’s location. Cabins will also feature PIR presence sensors that automatically go into energy-saver mode after detecting when the cabin is empty. Blinds will close and air-conditioning will adjust to an eco-saver temperature.
Other features include in-room entertainment with 109cm flat-screen HD TVs, mini bars, glam areas and a flexible wardrobe.
Bookings for its inaugural 2020 season open on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
Further details about the ship’s on- board and on-shore offerings will be released later this year.
