The Lufthansa Group South Africa held a farewell dinner on November 30 at the Bryanston Country Club for Dr André Schulz, Lufthansa’s GM Southern and East Africa.
After more than seven years in South Africa, Schulz is moving on to his new position as Head of Middle East, Africa, South Asia & CIS Region at Lufthansa Cargo, based at headquarters in Frankfurt.
Schulz will be remembered for not only running a tight ship at LH in Southern and East Africa but for maintaining the lifeline between Frankfurt and Johannesburg during COVID. The affectionate regard in which he has been held by the industry was quite clear as he was lauded for his achievements during speeches at the dinner.
