China has officially opened the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in the Guizhou Province.
The bridge, now recognised as the world’s highest, towers 625 metres above the Beipan River and reduces travel time across the canyon from two hours to just two minutes.
According to the BBC, it is not only the world’s highest but is also the largest span bridge built in a mountainous area.
