The ArcelorMittal Orbit, a 114,5m-high piece of public art in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, plans to install a 440m-long zipline.
The installation is already home to the world’s longest tunnel slide and an observation tower.
Planning officers have recommended that the proposed development should be granted planning permission subject to conditions. These include that the zipline will only operate between 09h00 and 20h00, with no more than 60 rides per hour at a speed of 60km/h.
