Dhabi, an indoor theme
park opening in 2018, will
be home to 29 immersive
rides, entertainment shows
and interactive attractions.
The family-friendly park
will span 153 000 sqm in
the centre of Yas Island
and will feature superheroes
and super-villains
from the DC Universe and
Warner Bros.’ Bugs Bunny,
Scooby-Doo and Tom and
Jerry characters.
The park, which will
be close to the Ferrari
World theme park, will
also include retail and
merchandise outlets and
a range of dining options.
According to Miral Asset
Management the new
theme park is expected to
cost US$1bn (R13bn).
Construction work on the
theme park and a Warner
Bros.-themed hotel started
last year after Miral Asset
Management (an Abu
Dhabi government-owned
company) signed a main
construction contract for
the project with Belgian
contractor, Six Construct in
May.
