Ethiopian Airlines has
teamed up with Aviation
without Borders, the
Airbus foundation and the
German NGO, humedica
Internationale Hilfe to
transport nine tonnes of
humanitarian goods to
Ethiopia from France on
Ethiopian Airlines’ new A350
XWB’s delivery flight. Some
of the goods to be delivered
include diarrhoeal disease
kits, emergency food rations
and clothing. These goods
will be distributed throughout
the drought stricken areas of
East Africa. “The acceptance
of our latest A350 XWB
is made more meaningful
as we transport much
needed relief goods to the
drought affected areas in
the region,” says Tewolde
GebreMariam, group chief
executive officer of Ethiopian
Airlines.
