QR partners with Uber

Qatar Airways has partnered with Uber for Business, allowing members of its Beyond Business corporate travel programme to redeem Qrewards for Uber rides. Qrewards will be converted into Uber ride vouchers that are credited directly to the traveller’s Uber wallet and can be used for business travel globally.

The partnership extends Qatar Airways’ corporate offering to ground transportation, while giving businesses greater oversight of travel spending. Uber for Business provides travel managers with a central dashboard for managing travel policies and automated expenses. Beyond Business members can also earn and redeem Qrewards, access Privilege Club tier offers and priority baggage benefits, and receive complimentary high-speed WiFi on up to 323 Starlink-enabled Qatar Airways flights a day.

SWISS serves up new menus

SWISS International Air Lines will spotlight the cuisine of Schaffhausen in the latest edition of its SWISS Taste of Switzerland programme from September 2.

For three months, passengers on long-haul flights departing Zurich and Geneva will be offered menus created by the culinary team from Villa Sommerlust, the only Michelin-starred restaurant in the canton.

Chefs Alejandro Perez Polo, Dan Rodriguez Zaugg and Katiuska Villalba Paredes have created dishes combining regional Swiss ingredients with international influences for first and business class, while premium economy passengers will be served a selection of traditional Swiss specialities.
