Gulf carrier opens premium lounges
EMIRATES has opened access to its premium lounges at Dubai
International Airport. Skywards loyalty programme members and
their guests can now pay for access to the lounges, regardless of
cabin class. These passengers can access the Emirates businessclass
lounges in Dubai for $100 (R1 308) and the Emirates firstclass
lounges for $200 (R2 616). Business-class passengers can
upgrade to first-class lounge access for $100. The airline plans to
extend pay-per-visit access in future to its 33 other lounges.
New flights to Antananarivo
ETHIOPIAN Airlines will launch a thrice-weekly service between Addis
Ababa and Antananarivo, Madagascar, on March 28. Flight ET 0853
will depart Addis Ababa at 09h40 and arrive in Antananarivo at
14h30. Flight ET 0852 will depart Antananarivo at 15h20 and arrive
in Addis Ababa at 20h10. The service will operate on Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Sundays using a Boeing 737, with 138 seats in
economy class and 15 in business class.
