joins Etihad from the UK
Ministry of Defence, where
he has served as ceo of
the Defence Equipment
and Support department,
responsible for procuring
and supporting all the
equipment and services for
the British Armed Forces.
 Avani Hotels
and Resorts
has promoted
Alejandro
Bernabé to vice
president of operations.
Alejandro joined Avani in
January as group director.
 Bashni
Muthaya has
been appointed
chief strategy
officer of South
African Tourism,
effective October 1.
Bashni will join the executive
committee team in this
new role
