He has 14 years’ experience
with the former Protea
Hospitality Group. Anton has
experience in almost every
aspect of hotel management
and has a strong interest in
staff training and development.
His last posting was as deputy
gm of Arabella Hotel & Spa in
the Western Cape.
 Tsogo Sun’s
Suncoast Towers
hotel announces
the appointment
of head chef,
Sandren
Govender.
He will be
responsible for overseeing
the hotel’s dining venue, room
service, catering and culinary
events. Sandren has over 21
years of experience working
in various food and beverage
positions around the globe. He
specialises in Indian cuisine
and has been part of the
Tsogo Sun group for over four
years. He was at the forefront
of the launch of Jeera, an
authentic Durban Indian
restaurant.
 Francois
Joubert has
joined the sales
and marketing
team at the
Cresta Hotels
Sandton office.
As group
corporate and MICE sales
manager, he will represent
Cresta’s 16 hotels and
lodges in the corporate
and MICE segments of the
market. He has more than
10 years’ experience in
the hospitality industry
and has worked for the
Peermont Group, Hilton
Hotels, Starwood Hotels
and Resorts, the Premier
Group and Guvon Hotels.
