El Al has unveiled its schedule for flights between Johannesburg and Tel Aviv. El Al is the only carrier conducting direct flights from South Africa to Israel.

Starting on February 14, after a long absence from the SA market, the airline will operate once-weekly overnight flights from TLV to JNB on Mondays, and outbound from JNB to TLV on Tuesdays.

From June 10, a second weekly flight will be added from TLV to JNB on Fridays (a daytime flight) and an overnight outbound flight from JNB on Saturdays.

The flights will be operated by El Al's advanced Dreamliner B787 aircraft, offering economy, premium economy and business class.

Excellent reopening fares

The airline has published some great fares valid for departures up to June 30, 2022, subject to terms and conditions.

Round-trip in Economy from R7 429 (Lite fare – does not include pre-seating nor a checked bag). El Al’s economy fares are branded Lite, Classic and Flex, each with a different set of inclusions.

Round-trip in Premium, from R21 430 (with 2 checked bags).

Round-trip in Business, starting at R39 670 (with 2 checked bags).

Conditions for entering Israel are subject to rules as determined by the Government of Israel.
