Ethiopian to fly to Cape Town

ETHIOPIAN Airlines will launch
flights to Cape Town from its
hub, Addis Ababa, on June 30.
The airline will operate six
scheduled flights via Gaborone
and Johannesburg to the
Mother City.
The flight schedule is
currently being finalised, says
traffic and sales manager,
Cape Town, Kibrom Mekonnen
“in such a manner that the
Gaborone operation will offer
a minimum connecting time
to our West, East and Central
Africa destinations.”
“As a pan-African airline
working to bring Africa together
and closer to the world, we
are very pleased to spread
our wings to Cape Town, said
Ethiopian group ceo, Tewolde
Gebremariam. “Our new flights
to Cape Town will give our
customers more convenient
connectivity options when
travelling within, to and from
the continent. We will continue
to expand our reach in our
home market in Africa, with a
view to support the continent’s
socio-economic integration and
development.”
The Cape Town route is
part of Ethiopian’s growth
strategy to expand its network,
increase its fleet and serve
more destinations, connecting
the world to Africa through its
hub. In addition to Cape Town,
the airline will launch flights
to Dublin and Los Angeles
in June.
