Lufthansa Innovation Hub has launched a new reward programme, RYDES, for all urban mobility services as well as air, rail and bus travel between cities.
The programme gives customers points for each journey with a digitally bookable mobility service. These include car, bike and eScooter sharing services, public transport and Deutsche Bahn, with plans to expand with Kick scooters in the future.
How it works
Users can collect and redeem points for rewards directly via the RYDES app through scanning their digital tickets. The app then transfers the points for each trip to their personal points account. From there, these can be redeemed for various perks.
In addition to free minutes with mobility partners, users receive vouchers from reward partners Eurowings, Amorelie, Tinder, ABOUT YOU, and Amazon. Customers also receive discounts for fitness memberships.
They can also collect additional points via mobility challenges. In the ‘Up-in-the-Air Challenge’, users are rewarded instantly if they upload a flight ticket from Eurowings, easyJet, or Ryanair, while the ‘Transporter Challenge’ MILES (a loyalty rewards programme for ground travel) rewards the booking of a rental van with 1000 extra points.
The RYDES app is available for all Android and iOS users.
