New aircraft for MK's medium- haul routes

AIR MAURITIUS will
introduce two new Airbus
A330-900s on its mediumhaul
routes to Guangzhou,
Hong Kong, Delhi and
Perth from September and
October next year. The new
aircraft will replace two
A340-300Es whose leases
expire in November and
December 2018.
The aircraft will feature
similar cabin layouts to
the A340-300s and will
have 28 seats in business
class and 263 in economy.
The A330-900 has a
new cabin interior design
and consumes at least
20% less fuel than the
A340-300.
Based on future fleet
requirements, Air Mauritius
is maintaining its order for
two A350-900 aircraft for
delivery in 2019 and has
decided to reschedule the
delivery of the last two,
initially planned for 2020,
to 2023.
