FCm chose Cape Town to host its conference for the Middle East and Africa region and
celebrated its tenth anniversary at the Pepperclub Hotel. Looking to the next decade, Gregory
Lording, FCm Travel Solutions global leader, says the company plans to “become more than
a TMC”. He says FCm will manufacture its own products as well as offering products of
preferred suppliers. The company has already launched SmartSTAY and is testing out SmartFLY
in Australia, which offers clients various value-adds when purchasing flight tickets. Other areas
of focus include technology that will assist with reporting and predicting travel behaviour,
the tracking and security of travellers, and further expanding the brand to destinations where
customers are travelling. From left: Ciarán Kelly, FCm gm of Middle East & Africa; Gregory;
