The biggest inter-provincial travel industry golf event was hosted by KZN recently.
It was the first triangular event involving all three provinces that have a travel industry
golf club. Thirty six golfers played for the honour of winning the first triangular event at
Mount Edgecombe and the following day at Zimbali. As has been the case with previous
tournaments between Gauteng and Western Cape, the event was as social as it was
competitive. For the record, after leading at the end of the first day, Western Cape lost their
way on the final day with Gauteng winning with 106 points, KZN on 90 and the Cape on 55.
Pictured (from left) are the captains, Terry Munro (Western Cape); Pippa Coote (KZN) and
Marco Cristofoli (Gauteng). The travel industry golf clubs are open to all members of the
travel and tourism sector. New members are welcome at all the clubs. Direct enquires to
tigc@telkomsa.net who will pass them on the relevant club.
