New Radisson Blu resorts for Mauritius
THREE new Radisson Blu properties will open in Mauritius in the third quarter of this
year. The Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa (100 rooms), Radisson Blu Azuri Residence
& Suites (57 rooms), and Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa (100 rooms)
are conversions of existing properties, and will be rebranded. The three properties are
situated on the north-east coast and are an hour from the international airport and
25km from Port Louis.

Tintswalo Atlantic to reopen ahead of summer
TINTSWALO Atlantic is on track to reopen in late October. The lodge, which is situated
at the foot of Chapman’s Peak, burned down in the Cape Town mountain fire earlier this
year. Just Trees has donated over 750 trees to Tintswalo Atlantic and the surrounding
Table Mountain National Park and the lodge team are also planting trees to facilitate
the recovery of the mountain.

Revamped Singita lodge opens
SINGITA unveiled the Singita Ebony Lodge on the Sabie River last month after its
complete redesign. The new lodge features 12 suites, each with its own private pool.
The existing walls in the safari-style tent suites were replaced by canvas and glass to
maximise the views. The dining and relaxation deck extend over the river bank.

InterContinental opens in Dubai Marina
INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels Group (IHG) has opened InterContinental Dubai Marina, a
luxury hotel with 132 rooms and 196 fully serviced suites. It is the fourth IHG property
in the UAE. The hotel is within walking distance of the Dubai tram and metro, and local
tourist attractions including Jumeirah Beach Road and The Walk on JBR, which offers
a variety of restaurants and shops and is only five minutes away. The hotel offers nine
restaurants, one of which is the Marina Social restaurant, due to open in September.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and male and female spas. Gym facilities
offer separate weight and cardio rooms accessible 24 hours a day. The nine meeting
rooms all enjoy natural lighting and have integrated visual and audio technology.
