QR launches all-business-class service to LHR

LQATAR Airways has launched
a new daily all-business-class
service between Doha and
London Heathrow’s Terminal 4.
A rst for the Middle Eastern
airline, the new service will be
operated by an Airbus A319
with 40 seats in single-aisle
2-2 seating. The service will
commence from May 15.
“The Doha-London Heathrow
route is one of Qatar Airways’
most popular international
routes and it was only
tting that we introduce an
all-business-class service,
through which customers
will also be able to benet
from our new Qatar Airways
premium lounge in London
Heathrow’s Terminal 4, and of
course the Premium Terminal
in Doha,” says ceo, Akbar Al
Baker.
QR105 departs Doha at
14h05 and arrives in London
at 20h23. QR016 departs
London at 21h55 and arrives
in Doha at 06h40.
QR currently operates
ve daily ights to London
Heathrow. The additional sixth
all-business-class daily service
will step up the frequency to
42 services a week.
As part of its aggressive
expansion programme, QR
will launch routes to eight
new destinations this year:
Sharjah from March 1; Dubai
World Central from March
1; Philadelphia from April
2; Larnaca from April 29;
Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport
from May 22; Edinburgh from
May 28; Miami from June 10
and Dallas/Fort Worth from
July 1.
