SAA reduces JNB-São Paulo frequencies

EFFECTIVE immediately, SAA has
permanently removed the three
night-time departure flights from its
Johannesburg-São Paulo route.
“The route rationalisation exercise
is part of SAA’s on-going business
enhancement processes and enables
the airline to match capacity with
demand across its entire network,”
says Tlali Tlali, SAA spokesperson.
SAA originally operated 10 flights
per week between Johannesburg and
São Paulo – daily flights from Monday
to Sunday as well as three night-time
departures on Wednesdays, Thursdays
and Saturdays. The airline has now
removed the three evening flights.
With the updated schedule, SA222
departs JNB daily at 11h15 and arrives
in São Paulo at 17h00. SA223 departs
São Paulo at 18h00 and arrives in JNB
at 07h25 the next morning.
