SAA has appointed Phumeza Nhantsi as its new chief financial officer (cfo), effective May 1. Prior to her
appointment, she was the interim cfo of SAA since November. Before joining SAA, she was a director at
SizweNtsalubaGobodo, the largest black-owned and -managed firm in Southern Africa. “Regarding the ceo
position, the first round of interviews and shortlisting have been concluded. The final round of interviews
will start in due course, whereafter a discussion with the shareholders will be sought,” Finance Minister,
Malusi Gigaba, said in Parliament last week.
