ZURICH Insurance
South Africa and
Botswana have
rebranded as Bryte
Insurance. This comes after
Zurich Insurance Group sold
its South Africa and Botswana
business to Canadian-based
holding company, Fairfax
Financial Holdings (Fairfax) in
2016.
Anrieth Symon, head of
travel insurance of Bryte
Insurance, says the sale
presented the opportunity
to develop a new localised
brand and corporate identity.
The look of the company
may have changed, but it’s
still business as usual at
Bryte Insurance. The current
senior leadership
team is also still
in place.
However, there
is a difference in
how the company
manages client
risk. Warren
Moss, ceo of
Demographica,
the lead agency
working on the
Bryte Insurance
rebrand, says the company’s
new positioning is about
“approaching risk with
purpose” by helping clients
identify risk before it
happens, lowering premiums
in the process.
“This allows the company
to offer cover in a much more
effective way,” he says.
Anrieth adds
that all policies
and agreements
under Zurich
remain in place
and will be
honoured; and
that all travel
products continue
to be available
via the same
channels. All
policies will
remain the same, but are
being rebranded to Bryte
Insurance.
The rebrand also included
a spanking new website
(http://www.brytesa.com/)
and different staff email
addresses, which have
all changed to firstname.
surname@brytesa.com.
