Air Botswana cuts regional flights

Air Botswana has cancelled its Gaborone-Durban, Maun-Cape Town and Gaborone-Windhoek routes as part of a new turnaround strategy.

At the Botswana transport ministry’s Recurrent and Development Budget to the National Assembly and reported by ch-aviation, Transport Minister Noah Salakae said the three discontinued routes had been introduced and operated between November 2024 and July 2025.

In August 2025, the airline suspended services on the Gaborone-Durban and Gaborone-Windhoek routes as part of a route optimisation strategy.

“This decision enables us to optimise our route network, safeguard schedule integrity, and ensure that our customers continue to benefit from reliable and efficient services,” the airline said in a statement.
