Etihad Airways is expanding its mainland China network, with five new routes to Shanghai Pudong, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Shenzhen.
The airline will introduce the following flight frequencies:
- Seven weekly flights to Shanghai Pudong from October 1
- Seven weekly flights to Guangzhou from March 4, 2027
- Five weekly flights to Hangzhou from March 4, 2027
- Five weekly flights to Shenzhen from March 7, 2027
- Four weekly flights to Chengdu from March 5, 2027
Air NZ introduces economy ‘bunk beds’
Air New Zealand will introduce six lie-flat pods in a bunk-style layout between the economy and premium economy cabins on its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, debuting in November.
The Economy Skynest cabins will feature:
- Six individual lie-flat sleep pods arranged in a bunk-style layout
- Four-hour sessions for passengers to use the pods with two sessions available per flight.
- Each session includes fresh bedding, changed between sessions, a privacy curtain and a ‘Nestcessities’ kit including eye mask, ear plugs, socks and skincare products.
EY launches Dhaka flights
Etihad Airways will launch a seasonal service to Dhaka, Bangladesh, from June 26, operating four times weekly between Abu Dhabi and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 22h00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and arrive in Dhaka at 04h50 the following day.
The return flight will depart Dhaka at 21h35 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 00h40.
