Air Botswana resumes CPT service
AIR Botswana resumed direct flights between Cape Town and
Gaborone, effective March 1. The flights operate on Wednesdays,
Fridays and Sundays, using the new 70-seat Embraer E-170 jet.
Ethiopian Mozambique Airlines adds routes
ETHIOPIAN Mozambique Airlines now operates flights to Lichinga
and Nacala, with flights to Vilankulo launching in this month.
The carrier operates flight ET88 to Lichinga Airport from Maputo
International Airport on Mondays and Fridays. Flight ET84 from
Maputo to Nacala Airport operates on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Flights ET82 and ET83 to Vilankulo Airport launched on March 3,
and operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Emirates launches new flights
EMIRATES has launched a daily service between Dubai and Phnom
Penh, via Bangkok, starting June 1 using a B777 aircraft. It will also
launch a new four times weekly service between Porto in Portugal
and Dubai, starting July 2. This route will operate on Tuesdays,
Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays using a Boeing 777-300ER in a
three-class configuration, offering eight Private Suites in first class,
42 lie-flat seats in business class and 310 seats in economy class.
Austrian ups European connections
AUSTRIAN Airlines will increase frequencies to Paris, Amsterdam,
and Copenhagen from May 1. This follows announcements earlier
this month that the airline would increase frequencies to Germany.
Austrian will offer 39 weekly flights to Paris, an increase of 12 per
week. There will also be an additional daily flight to Amsterdam
for a total of 34 weekly flights. The addition of four weekly flights
between Vienna and Copenhagen bring total weekly flights to 31.
All the flights are now available for booking.
