Construction begins on new Walvis Bay hotel

Gondwana Collection has officially broken ground on construction of The Admiral, a hotel development in Walvis Bay, scheduled to open in December 2027.

Designed by Namibian architect Conrad Scheffer, who drew inspiration from the nautical elegance of luxury yachts, the architecture employs sleek lines and a wind-smart façade.

The hotel will offer 24 suites: 21 standard suites (80 square metres) and three penthouse suites (110 square metres) featuring bedroom, lounge/office area, sun lounge, kitchenette and bathroom. 

The suites include floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the Atlantic Ocean and Flamingo Lagoon.

Other facilities include multi-media meeting rooms, a swimming pool and guest lounge.
