Cruise company strikes a blow for the small agent

CRUISE Vacations has
launched a new scheme,
PACE (Pro-active Agent
Commission Earnings),
that will give all agencies,
irrespective of size, the
opportunity to earn override
commissions on combined
bookings across all Cruise
Vacations products.
The scheme will be
target driven and include
all sales for cruise lines
represented by Cruise
Vacations – Silversea
Cruises and Silversea
Expeditions; Scenic
Cruises; Star Clippers;
Emerald Waterways; and
Carnival Cruise Lines.
Agents can earn up to 15%
commission.
Gaynor Neill, gm of Cruise
Vacations, says: “Override
commission agreements
have historically been
set up between GSAs
and large retail outlets
or consortiums, however
following the success
of our recent bonus
commission promotions
we recognise that there is
enormous potential through
smaller and independent
consultants, and we see no
reason not to reward their
often pro-active efforts and
loyalty.”
To register to join the
scheme, agents need to
contact Cruise Vacations
for the relevant registration
form, at which stage a
formal PACE Agreement will
be implemented.
