The Greek government organised a special repatriation flight for citizens and their pets stranded in the UAE due to the ongoing conflict.
A total of 101 travellers and 45 pets flew from Abu Dhabi to Athens on an Aegean Airlines flight on March 18, as part of ‘Operation Ark’.
According to The National News, Aegean Airlines ensured the pets felt at home. After meal service was completed for their owners, food was dished out for the animals too.
