Regent launches 2028-2029 collection

REGENT Seven Seas Cruises, represented by Encore Cruises in South Africa, has unveiled its 2028-29 Voyage Collection, featuring 238 sailings worldwide and a strong emphasis on Asia, with 24 itineraries across Japan, Southeast Asia and the wider region. According to the ultra-luxury cruise line, the season has been designed to balance immersive destination experiences with extended time in port, including 80 overnight stays globally and multiple maiden calls. Asia is a key focus of the deployment, led by Seven Seas Splendor, which will operate 24 voyages ranging from eight to 19 nights. The programme includes six round- trip Tokyo sailings, offering in-depth exploration of Japan during peak season periods, alongside itineraries visiting Vietnam, Thailand and Hong Kong. Ports of call include Hue/Da Nang, Bangkok (Laem Chabang) and Hong Kong. Across the broader Asia-Pacific deployment, Regent will also position ships in Australia and New Zealand, with voyages featuring Milford, Dusky and Doubtful Sounds, as well as major gateways including Sydney and Auckland. The broader collection will also introduce maiden calls in Dundee, Scotland; Oulu, Finland; and Šibenik, Croatia, as Regent expands access to lesser-visited destinations across its global deployment. Elsewhere in the global collection, Regent is expanding its footprint with several firsts. Seven Seas Splendor will enter Alaska for the first time, while Seven Seas Explorer will debut in Africa and Arabia with voyages calling at emerging destinations such as Angola, Namibia and the Ivory Coast. A quiet winter Mediterranean season for Seven Seas Voyager also forms part of the line’s strategy to offer off- peak regional experiences. A highlight of the season is the introduction of Seven Seas Prestige, the line’s newest ship, with delivery in late 2026, which will make its Canada and New England debut in 2028 before being deployed across multiple regions. The vessel will feature 40% more space than previous Regent ships but accommodate just 10% more guests. Seven Seas Prestige will also become Regent’s first new ship class in a decade, carrying just 822 guests. The Seven Seas Prestige will debut the new Skyview Regent Suite – a two- storey, two-bedroom, 817sqm retreat that will reportedly be the largest all- inclusive, ultra-luxury cruise ship suite in history. The 2028-29 season also features three Grand Voyages and a 150-night World Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner, visiting 31 countries and 70 ports of call across seven continents. A fourth Prestige-Class vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2036.
