Luxury rail icon revived at Paris exhibit

The Orient Express has partnered with Paris’s centennial Art Deco exhibition to reveal life-size models of its bar, restaurant and suite cabins.

The exhibit, titled ‘1925-2025: One Hundred Years of Art Deco’ is taking place at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, and runs until April 26, 2026.

The models were designed by the architect and Artistic Director of Orient Express, Maxime d’Angeac. They display the past, present and future of the Orient Express, featuring three full-scale models of the bar, restaurant and suite cabins from the future Orient Express train. The carriages’ designs reimagine original furnishings from the Nostalgie Istanbul Orient Express that operated in the 1920s and 1930s.

The new Orient Express train is scheduled to launch in 2027.
