Monday Smile: SA turns flyover into fun

The Airlink flyover that had South Africans talking after the Springboks-All Blacks clash at Cape Town Stadium on August 29, has now inspired its own browser game.

Dubbed Flappy Link, the game puts a distinctly South African spin on the once-viral Flappy Bird, allowing players to navigate an Airlink aircraft while dodging obstacles including hadedas.

The game emerged following the much-talked-about flyover at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, when two Airlink aircraft passed over the venue ahead of kick-off.

The spectacle quickly became a talking point across social media, prompting Airlink to confirm that the flyover had been performed safely.

By Tuesday, the moment had been transformed into Flappy Link, which quickly began circulating online and attracting players keen to test their virtual flying skills.
